Course Overview
This course provides an overview of the media delivery pipeline, which consists of media production, preparation for distribution, and distribution using internet streaming. The course covers the different types of media production, including live and offline production, and the process of preparing media for distribution. It also explains the importance of video compression in delivering media over the internet and the different video compression standards, such as AVC, AV1, and AVS3. Additionally, the course discusses the role of content delivery networks (CDNs) in streaming media and the different streaming standards, such as MPEG-DASH, HLS, and WebRTC. By the end of this course, students will have a comprehensive understanding of the media delivery pipeline and the technologies involved in delivering high-quality media over the internet.
