This program will consist of 4 courses dedicated to providing information on vIMS. Together the courses provide a full view of vIMS.
o Course 1 – vIMS Overview: In this course students will learn about the IMS network, the current market opportunity for vIMS, the relationship between NFV and IMS and the Intel technologies that enable the building of the vIMS ecosystem.
o Course 2 – IMS Architecture: After completing this course you will be able to describe how IMS can be used to provide services, and identify the traffic flow challenges of IMS.
o Course 3 – vIMS Architecture: In this course you will learn to identify the key elements of the vIMS, understand the key steps in deploying IMS functions, and identify the pain points of deploying and supporting an IMS network.
o Course 4 – vIMS Additional Benefits: This course will examine additional architectures like the voice over WiFi (VoWiFi), RCS or WebRTC architectures, and various redundancy methods for vIMS.
This course delivers an overview of the Virtual IP Multimedia Subsystem (vIMS), a summary of the existing technology and its limitations, as well as a view of the industry. A selection of technologies delivered by Intel® in collaboration with the open source community and partners within the ecosystem are also discussed.
This course delivers an overview of the IMS architecture and infrastructure and describes how the various components interact.
This module covers the architecture of the vIMS, including key elements and the process of deploying and scaling a function. Intel’s technology and several use case examples are also discussed.
This module covers the additional benefits provided by a virtualized IMS network to support new features.
