Chest X-rays are common and cost-effective. However, it can be more difficult to accurately diagnose a patient’s condition with an X-ray than with a chest CT image.
Intel® AI Builders member Wipro recognized this shortcoming and developed a process using deep learning to tackle two medical-imaging problems:
- Segmentation of medical images and x-rays
- Classification of medical images and automated generation of labels
The Wipro demonstration at the Artificial Intelligence Conference in San Francisco from September 4-7, 2018 will illustrate how AI reads and segments a chest x-ray, how it classifies a chest x-ray, and how it processes and generates x-ray image labels. This training was developed using the Intel® Optimization for TensorFlow*, framework and runs on Intel® Xeon® Processors.
